Surveying & Mapping

Taking Surveying To The Sky

Performing Land Surveys and Mapping is our flagship service at Enaeria.

We work directly with our clients to develop a work plan and obtain the results that meet their needs.

Some applications include: land development, mining surveys, power plants and manufacturing facilities, construction inspection, highway engineering, landfill measurements, cultural and historic mapping, forensic mapping, and urban spaces.

We outfit one of our drones with a still HD camera and fly over the area to be surveyed. Precision is our primary focus with Surveying. We can achieve high accuracy based on our drone flight speed and altitude.

The raw data we capture is in essence, a large library of photographs along with geographic location tags. We process this data to create and deliver a wide range of results, including:

  • 3D Point Cloud Data
  • Topography Mapping
  • 2D Large Area Imagery Via Photogrammetry
  • Volume, and Change in Volume Measurements
  • Slope, and Change in Slope Measurements
  • Relative and Global Position of Points of Interest

After analysis, we provide both hard copy and soft copy reports. We also provide the program file containing all of the information gathered during our survey. We also provide a complementary in-person presentation outlining the project and the results obtained.

Getting the X, Y & Z

There are several reasons why land surveyors are increasingly adding drones to their portfolio of instruments.

Firstly, using a drone can vastly reduce the time spent collecting accurate data. By acquiring raster data from the sky – in the form of geo-referenced digital aerial images, with resolutions as sharp as 1.5 cm (0.6 in) per pixel – you can gather millions of data points in one short flight.

Many of Enaeria’s surveying customers say that large jobs that once took days or weeks to complete can now be done in hours. Furthermore, less time spent on the ground means staff safety is improved by minimizing risk to surveying teams when measuring sites rough or unstable terrain.

With collection made so simple, you can focus your energy on using and analyzing data, rather than working out how to gather it.
